Description

Natural wood protection for carvings

OLI-NATURA linseed oil varnish is a traditionally produced, linseed oil-based wood oil for the natural and effective surface treatment of carvings and woodwork . It protects the wood from moisture, remains open-pored, and promotes a uniform, even wood appearance without forming a closed layer.

Features & Uses

✔ penetrates the wood and protects from the inside
✔ preserves structure, feel and breathability
✔ Slightly water-repellent and open-pored
✔ Suitable for finely carved details as well as larger wooden surfaces
✔ Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Product details

✔ Product type: Linseed oil varnish
✔ Manufacturer: OLI-NATURA
✔ Surface: natural to satin finish
✔ Suitable for carved figures, reliefs, wooden objects and decoration
✔ Recommended wood types: e.g., linden, Swiss pine, maple, alder

Application recommendation

The wood surface should be clean, dry, and finely sanded. Apply the linseed oil varnish thinly with a brush or cloth. After about 20–30 minutes, remove any excess oil. Depending on the absorbency of the wood, one to three coats are possible, allowing sufficient drying time between each coat.

The varnish slightly deepens the wood color and makes the grain clearly visible. Since no lacquer layer is formed, even fine carved details remain clearly visible.

Important instructions

✔ Due to the risk of spontaneous combustion, allow oil-soaked cloths to dry spread out or dispose of them safely.
✔ Color variations are due to the type of wood and are normal.

Recommendation:

For an even result, we recommend fine sandpaper and clean cotton cloths.
