Sharpness upon delivery

✔ The knives are pre-sharpened at the factory by Kirschen.
✔ Before first use, the edges must be finely honed with a sharpening stone or stropping leather.

The edges are prepped upon delivery, but do not yet have their final carving sharpness. Fine honing will give the knives optimal sharpness for clean and controlled cuts.
